One Payment Card for Three Sports Venues
As requested by the fans: Stadium-spanning payment card becomes reality
(Cologne-Lemgo-Kaiserslautern, September 2008) Both payment solution AG and its subsidiary company Goalgetter GmbH have been able to convince two additional sports venues to make use of the unique e-payment full-service operating scheme justpay: After a successful start in Colognes RheinEnergieStadion, Lipperlandhalle home match stadium of TBV Lemgos football team, as well as Fritz-Walter-Stadion in Kaiserslautern were the two additional sports venues that were integrated with justpay payment network.
In contrast to other payment systems, justpay is not only applicable in delimited surroundings and therefore enables stadium-spanning payment, which according to survey results is being embraced by the fans. In addition to the stadium-spanning applicability, justpay provides the fans with numerous benefits and more comfort.
The full-service operating scheme justpay, which revolutionises the use of multifunctional payment cards in stadiums and arenas, was developed by payment solution AG . The no-cost operating scheme covers all operating segments, so that operators, caterers and clubs may focus on their core businesses.
Due to the decision to use justpay we have become pioneers in Germany, since until now electronic payment has only been possible for sports venues with large capacities. justpay is the most modern electronic payment system on the European market. In contrast to different payment cards used in other arenas, justpay is going to be a card with a face and a high amount of staff, who will assist our visitors and fans in using it. Furthermore, justpay provides many internet services fans are able to use.
For instance, they are enabled to charge the card online or may order their favourite card, which will be sent to their homes. We are sure, that the cashless payment system will entail many advantages which will be a profit for our visitors and fans explains Benjamin Chatton, commercial managing director of TBV Lemgo.
In the scope of the ongoing process of modernisation and service improvement for fans and visitors, also football club 1.FC Kaiserslautern has decided to introduce cashless payment in its stadium Fritz-Walter-Stadion, as did a couple of other stadiums prior to that. Both visitors and fans, as well as 1.FC Kaiserslautern and kiosk owners will take advantage of the new system: The kiosks selling process will be accelerated immensely since the annoying counting of money is no longer necessary. Like this, long queues can be reduced. Also an internet portal is provided at www.justpay.de for card owners, which offers distinctive and unique services among all payment card systems in Germany, and will continuously be expanding. Already at this point every fan can charge their justpay cards online or order their favourite card, which will then be sent to their homes. During the whole season club-specific motives and special editions will be given to the fans.
We are pleased to see that after RheinEnergieStadion made the decision to introduce the stadium-spanning payment system justpay, Fritz-Walter-Stadion and the venue Lipperlandhalle have done the same, remarks Sascha Busse, general manager of Goalgetter GmbH. justpay will not only be used in big stadiums and arenas, but will also for instance be applied in a popular Beach Club in Cologne which proves the efficiency of the system even for smaller venues.
