If the system is not available, it means risk of business, image and acceptance. Therefore we pay utmost attention to making your operation a secure one.
All business-critical functions, like guests' spending and top-up of cards, can be done in off-line mode, i.e. without connection to the back-office system. On-line connection is used for non-business-critical features, such as data collection and reporting.
This becomes possible by comprehensive writing onto the card. Data are written twice: on the card and in the back-office system. If the data connection is lost, the next time the system goes on-line again, all information will be automatically updated. This architecture also enables the integration of devices that due to the customer concept are run remotely without any data connection (e.g. a remote kiosk in a stadium or park).
